Hi Y'all
I'm Rev. Dr. Jane-Allison Wiggin,
reader, writer, and spiritual director.
I am an Episcopal priest serving as a school chaplain and available for guest preaching, leading retreats, and peer coaching.
Spiritual Directors, teachers, and writers all ask questions.
How is the Holy Spirit moving in your life?
How are you responding?
What I've Been Reading Recently
"May the God of peace make you whole and holy, may you be kept safe in body, heart, and mind, and thus ready for the presence.
God has called you and will not fail you."
1 Thessalonians 5:23
translated by Richard Rohr in
Breathing Under Water: Spirituality and the 12 Steps.
About Spiritual Direction Together
Your prayer life is unique to you.
My prayer life is nurtured by daily prayer, reading all kinds of books as well as poetry,
long walks outside and in art museums, and meeting with my own spiritual director.
As a spiritual director, I strive to listen attentively, both to you, and to the Spirit,
to reflect back what is heard,
and at times offer questions for contemplation.
The time we spend together in spiritual direction is yours
to pause everything else demanding your attention.
The time is yours, to rest with the One who loves you unconditionally.
The time is yours to spend time contemplating the words of Jesus, who is your friend, and not a stranger.
The time is yours to look for where and how God the creator of the cosmos is acting in your life.
Spiritual direction is meant to be a safe space where you are met with compassion.
You are welcome here, your faith and flaws, doubts and despairs, hopes and hurts.
